Everything you experience at Bali Yoga School community has come from our great leader, Yogi Himanshu Joshi. He is the most honest, hard-working, authentic person we can ever meet. His yoga journey started from a severe injury after playing sports for a long time at the state / national level. Yoga brought him up into the light from the darkness.
He contributed to the success of other yoga schools in Rishikesh, and then built his own — Himalayan Yoga Association and Bali Yoga School. He continues to expand the community, uplifting lives for the better. Feel his essence in every detail of the school and learning.

School Managing Director
A very gentle soul, always available to assist everyone on and off the mat. He is a real Karma Yogi of Bali Yoga School, always making sure everyone from the teachers, staff, students are in the best environment as a yoga community. As he was born and raised in Bali, he is an expert of this island.

Akane
IT Managing Director
Born in Japan, has been living abroad in different countries, traveling constantly and has experienced in multicultural work environments for the last 10 years. After completing her 500hrs YTT in Dubai while she was living there for work, she decided to leave everything behind to go on a truthful life-journey and she completed 500hrs YTT in the head school branch of Bali Yoga School in Rishikesh, India. There, she and Yogi Himanshu had a life-changing encounter. Now, as the wife of Yogi Himanshu, she has been working as the IT managing director as well as performing other management works to bring the community more appearing by applying her sharp observation skill and experiences she has gained through her international lifestyle.

Yogini Shanti
Yoga Philosophy / Meditation
She was born and raised in Sumbawa Besar by her Balinese parents who have also been yoga practitioners. Since she was a child, Hare Krishna mantra was her lullaby song to go to sleep. She devoted herself into Hare krishna movement for 5 years by living in many ashrams until she finally found her Guru, and decided to volunteer herself for more than 5 years at her Guru’s ashram. She was learning Bhagavad Gita, Hatha yoga, and meditation then she got her scholarship for 200hrs yoga teacher training at S-VYASA University in Bangalore, India. After coming back to Bali, she started teaching yoga asanas and meditation in her Guru’s ashram and other places for 5 years. She has been presenting amazing skills to teach pranayama, yoga philosophy and meditation since then.

Yogini Idatrini
Hatha Vinyasa Yoga / Teaching Methodology
As she was raised in a Hindu Family, yoga has always been in her lifestyle since her childhood. She has been teaching various typrs of yoga classes since 2016, based on traditional Hatha teaching. She is certified for Hatha vinyasa yoga, prenatal yoga, chakra yoga, yin yoga, antigravity yoga, yoga nidra, and as a reiki master. She is also certified for reiki chakra healing, reiki crystal healing, and sound healing. She is a passionate learner, and she has been exploring the world of tantra, Balinese usadha, Balinese ancient script in the Hindu tradition, and loves sharing her knowledge and wisdom with other souls.

Yogini Nikki
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga
She was inspired to start practicing and teaching yoga through her own healing journey. After being diagnosed with severe scoliosis after finishing high school, chronic pain was making her suffer. However, practicing yoga, especially Ashtanga, transformed her life and made her feel stronger and healthier both physically and mentally. Yoga provided her with an opportunity to transcend her own limitations and conditions. Her continued growth and learning has led her to expand her knowledge and offerings in the field of Holistic health and discovering the important role of nutrition plays in supporting health and healing. She was rewarded a scholarship in Raw food and detox facilitator in Pure Raw training program by Dr. Amy Rachelle ND. Since graduated from the training she has worked in various Raw food and Detox retreats. She has also travelled to Rishikesh, India, to deepen her study of yoga and completed her Hatha and Ashtanga yoga training there. She has been a devoted Ashtanga yoga practitioner and teaching Ashtanga is truly her calling. As someone who has experienced the benefits of practising yoga with proper nutritional support during her own healing process, she now incorporates this knowledge into her teaching. She is grateful to be where she is now, sharing her passion and joy for the healing path while fulfilling her purpose of helping others.

Yogini Chiara
Hatha Vinyasa Yoga / Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga / Sound & Reiki Healing
Yogini Chiara began practicing yoga in Italy, and after years of practice she began her training in an international school based in Italy and then continued it in Indonesia.
Over the years, Chiara has studied different styles of yoga: Hatha, Yin , Pregnancy Yoga, although her great passion is the fluidity and freedom of Vinyasa yoga.
As a personal practice she also explores other disciplines always linked to movement and martial arts , Capoeira, Muay Thai as well as Dancing.
She recently achieved level 1 of Animal Flow, a free body movement workout.
Her knowledges regard many subjects regarding nature, natural therapies and anything else connected with wellness for body, mind and soul.
She loves teaching Yoga and doing her best to improve people’s life.

Yogini Divyangana
Anatomy & Physiology / Ayurveda
Her true passion has always been health, wellness, yoga, and nutrition. She took a 1,750 hours of traditional Hatha yoga teacher training in 2022. She has completed and has a certification in the field of yoga and Ayurveda. Her intense curiosity does not know how to slow down herself, and she has completed an online certification course in “Anatomy – Musculoskeltal and Integumentary Systems” authorized by Michigan University. She is a professional health coach, certified by a very well reputed institute in the United States. She is passionate about integrating the traditional yogic knowledge with modern science and delivering it to the students at Bali Yoga School in a way that is easy to understand and relatable to all for a healthier and happier life.

Yogi Pandu
Shat-karma & Pranayama / Meditation / Yoga Philosophy
He was born into a priest family. He grew up with spiritual practices, and since his young age, his interest in Vedic Literature was powerful. He spent a lot of time in Ashram in Bali, and went to India in 2014 to study Sanskrit at Banaras Hindu University. He spent 5 years in Varanasi, and 3.5 year in an Ashram in Vrindavan. He visited so many holy places, met Gurus with spiritual knowledge and learn from them. The intense and difficult life in India gave him so much lessons and completely changed himself. When he came back to Bali, he did his 500hr YTT at Bali Yoga School, and now intended to fully dedicate his time and life to learn, explore, and practice all aspect of Yoga. His high level of experience, knowledge and skill is now shining at Bali Yoga School. He loves to spread his wisdom to help others to get the benefits and develop themselves in the beautiful path of yoga.

Yogi Bablu (Yin Yoga)
Born into a Brahmin family in the serene landscapes of Uttarkashi, nestled in the higher Himalayas, Babloo Prasad has dedicated his life to the path of yoga. He holds a Master’s degree in Yogic Science from the prestigious Sanskrit University in Haridwar.
Babloo is a Yoga Alliance-certified teacher, with 200-hour and 300-hour credentials, and has been teaching for over seven years. His expertise spans Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Alignment& Adjustment, Yoga therapy, Hatha Yoga, vinyasa Pranayama, and yin yoga
Having trained under renowned yogis and spiritual masters, Babloo has honed his skills in asana Ashtanga vinyasa, alignment, adjustment techniques, and the subtle art of pranayama. His approach integrates the physical, mystical, and spiritual dimensions of yoga, guided by the firm belief that yoga is a profound science transcending the body.
With a passion for sharing his knowledge, Babloo continues to inspire and guide sincere seekers on their journey toward holistic well-being and inner peace.

Yogi Chetan (Yin Yoga)
Chetan is a certified yoga teacher from Rishikesh, the birthplace of yoga. Since 2012, he has been guiding international students in Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin Yoga, as well as Anatomy, Philosophy, Breathwork, and Meditation.
Alongside his yoga training, Chetan has studied Sanskrit, the ancient language of yoga. He brings this wisdom into his teaching, blending mantra, philosophy, and traditional knowledge with modern practice.
Through a structured yet compassionate approach, Chetan creates classes that are mindful, transformative, and deeply connected to the roots of yoga – helping students find strength, clarity, and balance in body and mind.

Shailesh Tripathi is an IT and web development specialist with 15+ years of experience building reliable, user-centric software. He holds a B.Tech in Computer Science and has led full-stack projects across startups and enterprises. Comfortable working across multiple languages and technologies, Shailesh delivers end-to-end solutions—from responsive front-end interfaces to scalable back-end services and cloud deployments—always with a focus on performance, security, and maintainability.

He is a dedicated and reliable member of the Himalayan Yoga Association and Bali Yoga School teams, where he manages IT operations with expertise and care. Known for his honesty and strong work ethic, Sumit consistently ensures that all technical systems run smoothly, supporting the daily activities of both institutions.
